Thank you Amazon for selling me this Moleskine which I understood to be something completely different. What I got was this yellow paper, non absorbent and so not conducive for any liquid media.  All this to say I used for the first time with my new 5″ x 8. 5″  Moleskine sketch pad and was freaked. This is my office. Pardon the horrible rendering…

Singing Rocks

Driving through this beautiful place called Bair D’Urfe I discovered this oasis of lush gardens, fertile ponds and lots of vacant areas to sketch. The sound of the water hitting the rocks was intoxicating. I even met an artist painting in oils, wow, I have a hard time getting my watercolors out as to not disturb my surrounding and not draw attention to myself. Yet he looked so peaceful…

Reflection

I think this is the last of the Yacht club series as I need to be immersed in water to be able to capture it well. Here I am dressed, hot and stinky and cannot even enjoy the water that I am trying so desperately to portray. So therefore, the next time I draw water I will be in it either before or after the sketch, somewhere, somehow!!!
